College Visit and State Competitions

Weekend away to visit OSU in Corvallis OR. The campus is incredible this time of the year when it is all in bloom. It was raining pretty much the whole time so I didn't take many photo's.
On Friday we spent the day visiting and touring the campus at OSU as one of Michael's final choices for school in September. It is so hard to believe he will be leaving for college this year. It was a great visit and he is taking final steps to attend OSU just 4.5 hours from home. {nice for Mom & Dad} We were thrilled to have all the scholorships he needed to make it affordable become available. 100% tution paid, some room and board so far, and we are still waiting on more results that won't be available for a couple more weeks. He will be enrolling in the engineering programming.
On Saturday we spent the day with Kenzi for state competition of Destination Imagination an event where teams of five to seven members work together to apply creativity, critical thinking and their particular talents to solve a Team Challenge. There skit was so funny! We enjoyed the day and the time with her. The journey ended at state for them, but it was a great experience.

We drove home through Vancouver and then the back roads home to Hermiston on the Washington side of Columbia River. It was a gorgeous drive even in the rain.
