I can't believe another month has passed by and I haven't blogged very much...
We have been busy this month as I am sure all of us with the end of the school year coming to a close.

Final choir concert of the year and for the middle school. The kids did broadway numbers from Grease, Hair Spray and Phantom of the Opera. Loved it! All of the 8th graders received recognition and a daisy flower. {Great flower choice}

We attended Award Cermonies where both Michael and Kenzi were honored. Michael received Outstanding Upperclassman of the year in Science. He also was one of 24 out of 270 students to graduate with honors and on the honor roll. He received the presidential gold award.

Kenzi did outstanding in school this year and had quite a stack of awards in Science (having acheived the highest score in the school), Math & Literature. She also was honored for her honor roll, the Presidential Gold award. We keep teasing her that she "swept" the awards cermony!
We are very proud of her and Michael and that they continue to want to learn and acheive!

We had Jason's Mom and her husband Danny visit us this last week and we took them over to the Pendleton Underground tours. Pendleton has quite the history and whole society that lived underground in the late 1800's and early 1900's. In a 4 block radius there were 30 some taverns and many brothels. There was also a work force of chinese that helped build and mine in the Pendleton area.
Here is a picture of Jason with a ball and chain. Notice I am nowhere in sight!!!!
It was a great experience and we enjoyed the time away, although we did feel a bit saddened by some of the history and treatment of so many. Loved our visit with family.
